KɛdɩtʋEmpire State Building- Day into Night (21637448828).jpg
Wonderful views of the Empire State Building at the golden hour, just as the lights turned on at sunset, then half an hour after sunset during the peak of the blue hour. Photos taken from Herald Square (near 34th and Avenue of the Americas). This is a very busy intersection during the week.
Golden Hour: Canon 6D | Tamron SP 24-70MM F/2.8 Di VC USD | f8 | 70mm | ½ sec | 100 ISO | B+W XS-PRO ND-VARIO 1-5 MRC (set at 6 stops)
At Sunset: Canon 6D | Tamron SP 24-70MM F/2.8 Di VC USD | f7.1 | 70mm | ½ sec | 100 ISO | B+W XS-PRO ND-VARIO 1-5 MRC (set at 2 stops)
Blue Hour: Canon 6D | Tamron SP 24-70MM F/2.8 Di VC USD | f5 | 70mm | 1 sec | 100 ISO |
Each photo is a vertical panorama stitched together from 11 overlapping images. I have found that to lower the distortions in these close-up vertical shots, the overlap needs to be above 50%.
